AR15 22-LR Converter with 223 Wylde Upper
In this video I show assembling an AR15 Upper with a 16-inch barrel chambered in .223 Wylde. The barrel is a “Pencil Barrel” chambered in .223 Wylde will shoot 5.56 mil-spec ammo, and will also shoot .223 Remington but much more accurately than a standard 5.56 chambered barrel. So I am assembling this upper to be a lightweight target rifle for both .223 Rem and also use a CMMG conversion bolt and magazines for .22 Long Rifle; your standard, basic .22 round. Most of the 5.56/.223 rifles I have now use a heavy barrel and/or heavy-fluted barrel. So far, this setup feels very lightweight. I figure with the lightweight and no recoil from a .22-LR round it makes a great entry for new shooters and youth wanting to learn.
